The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking First Line Manufacturing Manager to join the team located at the Huntsville, AL .
Position Responsibilities Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines. Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership. Minimum of five (10) years’ experience leading teams and/or managing complex projects Possess leadership experience in production / manufacturing environment 15 years Experience working with Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools Minimum10 years of experience developing project execution plans, schedules and budgets. Experience working with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes. At least 10 year of experience developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation. Experience managing a Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU) / hourly union-represented workforce. Team-building and building positive relationships Minimum 10 years of experience working with programs that require coordination of Critical Lifts and Moves.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience): Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
